Certified Timber / Timber product is officially approved by a certification organization as coming from a responsibly managed forest. The aim of Responsible forest management is to maintain Timber supply further to help protect vulnerable forests from illegal logging, encroachment or conversion to farmland. Responsible forest management includes practices that are environmentally sound, socially beneficial and economically viable, it can help meet society’s needs without depleting natural capital.

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC™) 

FSC™ is a global independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization that sets the standards for what is a responsibly managed forest, both environmentally and socially. Therefore, FSC™ is the only global certification system in which forest management practices are evaluated by an independent third-party regarding to strong social, environmental and economic standards.

Chain of Custody (COC)

FSC™ Chain of Custody certification (COC) makes sure the Timber / Timber products can be recognizable as coming from a certified source, so  COC can traces the path of Timber / Timber products from forests through the supply chain, verifying that FSC™-certified Timber / Timber product is identified or kept separated from non-certified Timber / Timber product throughout the chain. To ensure the products are handled correctly therefore each stage must be inspected and certified.
